Diary of a Head Injury
The film was launched during Traumatic Brain Injury Awareness month, to encourage conversation and create empathy with an audience that is reluctant to talk or admit to the effects of concussion or brain injury. In New Zealand, over 35,000 people a year experience a traumatic brain injury. Half of those people go on to have debilitating, long-lasting symptoms. Without proper diagnosis and treatment, the effects of a brain injury can be devastating to individuals and their families. Headway provides a range of services and therapy to help people have an improved outcome from a TBI.
