Rabo Direct launched it’s new campaign with four unique commercials. Once the core communication was developed, we worked closely with the agency to develop a style and direction. Our ‘orange void’ created a backdrop for each script with a mix of players being introduced when required.
From the resulting storyboards we created rough animatics to inform camera position and action for the studio shoot. The animatic also gives the agency and client a good idea of how each commercial flows and cuts together. We like to leave room for the design process to happen as we put together the final animation - so frames started relatively sparse and were populated iteratively as we progressed. This gives us a chance to ‘audition’ elements in each scene to see how they work - if they made the cut we kept them in the shot.
